Tour de Forest Creek

So that's the name of our subdivision (although the builders/developers promised us a sign & we never received one to be officially known as such in Puyallup; now we're too cheap to pay for one through HOA 'cuz it's not that important, just the principle...but don't get me started:)). Anyway, on to the point of this post=Cole's determination to drop the training wheels after hearing a few of his friends have taken the leap of faith. He's had to be patient & wait for Dad to be home (apparently it's prime father-son bonding & I was only invited as camerawoman), overcast weather vs recent snow/ice/pouring rain & daylight...hard combo to achieve for the Parkers in WA, but finally happened late this afternoon (during halftime of UW's loss to CAL...but that's another story too). Cole rode extremely well for his first attempt ever; the video below doesn't even capture the longest run. However, his personality is enough like his mother that it didn't take long before he let his amateur riding ability get the best of him (unfortunately it seems he's inherited my aversion to learning anything new) & was ready to head inside. At dinner he announced that he wanted the training wheels back on for a bit-Perhaps we'll try again in the spring?! But it was fun while it lasted...
